Things to do in and around the lovely city of Cape Town
- Take a cable car ride up Table Mountain or take hike to the top (but not in the heat of mid-day).
- Visit the Cape Peninsula National Park and see the two mighty Oceans meet.
- Enjoy a stroll around the spectacular national gardens at Kirstenbosch and, in the summer, experience an open air Sunday Night Concerts – take your own picnic.
- Shop and dine at the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront where you’ll see lots of free live entertainment
- See the sharks and the kelp forests in the Aquarium.
- Visit one or more of the many nearby beaches:
- Clifton Beach for safe children’s bathing
- Palm lined Camps bay to enjoy the cosmopolitan lifestyle
- Sandy Bay for the naturists
- Swim with the penguins in Boulders Bay
- Surf or walk on Long Beach
- Take the Constantia Wine Route and visit one or more of the beautiful Estates for a little wine tasting.
- Visit the historical and cultural centre of Cape Town and experience the wide range of galleries, museums, markets and specialist shops.
- Take a stroll around Bo-kaap's quaint and vibrantly coloured houses and listen to the muezzin's call.
